Tom McCarthy has been involved in youth athletics for over 18 years as a coach and official. He has coached baseball at every level from Tee Ball through Babe Ruth and has been on the coaching staff of teams that won District and/or State titles at the 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 year old levels.

A long time high school football and basketball official in Central Mass he has officiated numerous high school Super Bowls and playoff games in football and has worked in the state basketball playoffs for 12 consecutive years including numerous district finals as well as a state semi-final contest.

A long time resident of Shrewsbury he is married with 2 children. His son Ryan is completing his degree at Framingham State University and is a Head Coach for Mass Athletics’ The A’s AAU Baseball Program. His daughter Allison is a student at Johnson & Wales University and his wife D’Arcy is an 8th grade Special Education teacher in Shrewsbury. Tom is the Credit Manager at Bigelow Nurseries in Northborough.
